The Climate Change Adaptation Project is:

Led by Dr. Blair Feltmate , the Director of Sustainability Practice and Associate Professor for the
School of Environment, Enterprise and Development.

Directed by Dr. Jason Thistlethwaite , a lecturer at the University of Waterloo affiliated with the Faculty of Environment, and a research coordinator for the Institute of Catastrophic Loss Reduction. He recently completed his PhD on the link between climate change and financial markets in August 2011.

Supported by the Adaptation Advisory Committee , a group of 80 leaders drawn from across Canada, representing industry, finance, law, academe, aboriginal communities, government, youth, and NGOs.

Informed by a team of subject matter experts tasked with identifying adaptation solutions to Canada’s most significant climate change challenges.

Funded by Intact Financial Corporation , a 100% public Canadian company. The project funding was provided by Intact’s charitable arm, the Intact Foundation, which donated more than $14 million to communities across Canada since its inception in 2003. Intact is a climate change adaptation leader among Canadian P&C insurers and is committed to the fight against climate change.

Governed by The University of Waterloo , a national leader in environmental research and teaching. The University of Waterloo established the first faculty in Canada (est. in 1969) dedicated to the environment and environmental studies and remains one of only a handful in the world.
